Huzzah!
SciFi has announced that they'll be reinstating the full orchestral openings for Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis when they return from the mid-season break in January.
This is great news. While I was actually able to stand the 10-second version of the Atlantis theme (not that I was happy about it, mind you), the shortened SG-1 open was a disgusting mish mash of musical notes that somewhat resembled the work of David Arnold, but not really. Stef can attest to the inhuman sounds that emerged from my mouth every time the opening aired. Bleh doesn't even begin to describe it.
Now I just have to patiently wait for the January mid-season premieres.
